Description

Use this activity to assess your students’ ability to hear initial sounds. This is the first step in hearing different sounds in words, and is a very important skill to begin reading and writing. Using the image cards, and one at a time show each image to the student. As you show the image (ball for example) ask them ‘What is the first sound you hear in ball?’If they get they get it right place a sticker into that box (you could also stamp it or just tick the box).
