This craftivity is great when teaching the CAFÉ strategy ‘Recognise literary elements (genre, plot, character, setting, problem/resolution, theme)’. It helps students identify the different literary parts to a text and better understand the text in a fun way which doubles as a great display.
You could use this as an anchor chart – brainstorming with students each element and displaying for the duration of your unit of work, or students could complete their own for a particular book. |
