This is a great activity to get the year started.
It allows you to learn a little more about your students, and takes them time to complete allowing you to complete some initial assessments, unpack their equipment etc.
Students fill in and decorate the sides of their cube, then fold it into an original, three-dimensional self portrait.
You may like to stack the cubes for 3-D graphing activity (eg by boys and girls, number of family members etc), or use them for open house or parent night.
We suggest you make one about yourself so that your students can learn a little bit about you too!
This allows them to see the completed activity and get to know your level of expectation for completed work.
Our cube was printed onto A4 paper and it has held it’s shape nicely.
If you plan on using them for graphing then we recommend using card.
Younger students may need their cube enlarged to A3.
