This Mothers Day writing activity also makes a great gift for the Mums in your class when collated together.
Interview each child about the best thing their Mum cooks, they do need some support to strucutre how the meal might be made (eg. what does she use to cook that, how long do you think it goes in the oven for, how hot is the oven etc etc).
Older or more capable children could write or type this information into the writing format on their own.
Take a photo of each child wearing a chef hat and holding a kitchen utensil (rolling pin, wooden spoon, whisk etc) and insert this photo to the top square on the page.
If you dont have time to take individual photos you may like to have your students draw a picture of their mum, or of their favourite meal in the box. This resource is available in two formats.
The first is a pdf for you to print and handwrite the answers in.
The second format is a Publisher document, this allows you to type the answers in and insert the photo electronically (sorry but Word is not available to download).
There are also name options for students who may not have a Mum/Mom they include: Mum, Mom, Nana, Gran, Nanny, Grandma and Aunty.
