This is an assessment rubric and portfolio piece to assess early writing skills.
The assessment is suited to early writing towards the end of Kindergarten(4) and the start of Pre-Primary(5) – it assess sounding out of words, spacing, punctuation and reading writing back.
It includes all parts – the heading and explanation (‘term 1’ is changed to ‘in this writing sample’), drawing box and assessment rubric.
